These last six weeks of no chemo have been glorious, to say the least. No more dreading every other Thursday. Now I'm on to more important things like, well...life. On February 20th I went up to Huntsman with mom to get, what I hoped to be, my last PET scan. The next day we talked to the doc about it. He said there was one little question area in my neck but it was probs nothing. I felt like I couldn't quite celebrate yet with the possibility of it not being gone, even though it was a VERY small chance. Anyways. On Wednesday, February 27th, I talked to my nurse Mary and got the best news evar...I am cancer free! Wanna know why that's the best news? NO MORE CHEMO! Oh, and cancer could kill me.
Next order of business, saying adios to the port. I'm super lucky of course to have such rad technology to make getting chemo a lot easier, but boy was I ready to get it out and be done with it all. On Friday (March 1st), mom and I headed up to Huntsman for the surgery. I was soo excited! I just kept thinking about the day I got it put it...in tears and scared to death, and now this time I was practically jumping up and down. I pretty much dreamed about this since day one, and it certainly lived up to expectations.
I'm so happy to be done and on my way to getting back normal! Hair...grow.

Lots of cool peeps in those pictures :)
